About Me

My name is K.  I am married to S.  We both work full time in the Washington, D.C. area.  We are raising our two children, 3 year old son L and 6 month old daughter V.

By the time we factor in commute time and daycare drop off we are outside of our home 11 hours a day.  That leaves little time for us.  I am always on the hunt for easy ways to be a "Pinterest" mom.  You know, the Mom's who seem to be on the ball all of the time.  Always planning fun activities?  Always knowing the best ways to teach their children everything? Always being organized?  Crafty?  Gourmet Chefs? I don't have time for all that.  I don't have the income for all that.  I need quick, fast, easy ideas any joker on the street could pull off.

Unfortunately, I have found that these quick, fast, easy ideas are not so quick, fast, and easy to find.  I might get one or two ideas here and there.  But when I spend an entire hour trying to figure out the best stocking stuffers for a 3 year old and everything I find is $30 plus.. I have just wasted my time.

Over the years, I have been gathering lists of favorites. I love sharing quick advice with people when they need it, and I love receiving quick advice back.  No, I do not need your 20 page report on the best baby bottle.  I need the quick and dirty version.  What worked for you?  How much?  Where do I get it?

My goal is to share ideas on books, toys, activities, and travel as these are the most important things we do with our children.  I might throw some random things in here as well.  These are all things that worked for us.  Nothing will ever be perfect for every single person out there.

I am no expert.  I am just a mother.  I like lists.  I like quick and easy reads.
